The figurative language made a very difficult subject beautiful. It was an amazing book. I thought that the perspective that Death had on the best and worst in humanity was very interesting. It also was good at portraying the innocence, and guilt, of a civilian population in Germany. Very thought provoking, since any of us may be called to be in the same position some day.
