How I miss Edinburgh! Paige Shelton's The Cracked Spine, A Scottish Bookshop Mystery, is set in Edinburgh, Scotland, and I truly enjoyed this mystery which reminded of my trips to Edinburgh and Scotland! Delaney Nicols from Wichita, Kansas spots an ad for an employee for a bookshop in Edinburgh which is also a 'purveyor of books'. A wild impulse has Delaney accepting the job, and she flies to Edinburgh to begin her new adventures! The book, it's characters, and the mystery are great fun. With Delaney's 'bookish voices', characters from books that only Delaney can hear, a fellow employee named Hamlet, and 'who knows what' mystery, how can this book and hopefully, a series, not take off in a grand fashion!!
