I liked this book because it's a good book, but also because Lily reminded me a little of my wife.

Dash is in a bookstore, and he finds a moleskine notebook with some instructions left behind by Lily for anyone adventurous enough to take up the challenge. What the instructions lead up to is a scavenger hunt of friendship and love throughout New York City at Christmastime. The book hops back and forth between Dash and Lily and just ends up being a quick, fun romp.

It's also reminiscent of Nick and Norah, which makes sense given that Levithan and Cohn wrote that one as well, but my personal connection made it a little sweeter. Ann & I enjoy throwing little curveballs each other's way just to make sure we know we're thinking of each other, and everyone deserves a little scavenger hunt now and then. It's a cute, fun way to plot a book, just like it's a fun way to plot a life now and again.
