it was amazing

The book is basically his diary and all of this is new to him, so the way he describes what he sees and experiences gave me the feeling that I was seeing it too. I also liked how at first I was looking in the glossary for descriptions of the terms they used for the ship's sails, masts, and ropes, but after a little bit, instead of trying to figure out what the terms meant, I was more interested to know how they would maneuver the ship and to read about his adventures and impressions of what he was seeing. I feel like I got a glimpse of what that world was like. I really enjoyed this book.
