it was amazing

This book is written not only as the author remembered it, but also at the pace of memory, with such transparency that it feels like you are remembering these stories. One story is mostly wrought of the exhilaration and power of youth; the other tackles the humiliation of mortality. I've really never read anything that hit me like this. There is no magic to the story. The rabbit makes a nest in the hat and dies in there. Voila!
