This is a complex paranormal romance packed with angst and turmoil as well as horrendous threatening dangers and secrets which could thwart all their opportunities for happiness.

After surviving being bitten by a werewolf two years ago, Aimee Styles chose to disappear into the mountains around Wolfe Creek. She has chosen to do this because she is now a werewolf and doesn't see how she can go back to living her previous life though she has maintained contact with her best friend, Maggie, who she meets up with every month. This meeting, however, is different because Aimee feels there's a threat nearby, one she can sense but can't identify. She gets Maggie safely away but then feels very ill. She makes it to a friend who calls in the Doctor, Jake Blackstone.

Jake recognises Aimee from all the publicity that surrounded her disappearance but promises to keep her whereabouts secret. That's their first encounter. They are attracted to each other but he lost his wife to a wild animal attract and has a three year old son. With so many secrets, Unknown dangers threatening, will their love stand any chance of a HEA?

If you enjoy paranormal romances, with life threatening dangers to be overcome, traumatic experiences impacting on people's lives then you'll enjoy this delightful story!

Thanks to the Author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
