Eve Duncan, a forensic sculptor, discovers that her lover, Joe Quinn has betrayed her in one of the most hurtful ways possible. Deciding to put some distance between her and Joe, Eve accepts a job in Baton Rouge at the request of a high-ranking government official.

She is in Baton Rouge for barely 24 hours before the first murder occurs, and an attempt on her own life is made.

Body of Lies captivated me from the first chapter to the epilouge as the story wound through the New Orleans bayou, Atlanta and Boca Raton. It is always refreshing to engage in an Eve Duncan thriller, where the characters are human, with all the pitfalls and failings all humans endure.
