it was amazing
bookshelves: biography, favorites

Epic book, about people who did brave things during a war that seems hard to figure out. Especially the question of just how were the rebels going to win a war against a monarch like Britian. It is utterly engrossing, to read and find out.

George Washington has, ever since grade school, been that iconic figure on dollar bills and the fact that he is the first president. But who he was before that is much more complex. With David McCullough's exhaustive research, he comes to light in a much more intense and human way.
And for those of the Revolutionary War who have in a small way been forgotten, this book compels us not too.
Its brilliant to read.
