You Are Not Small is a Fantasy/Science Fiction book about two creatures that discuss who is big and who is small. This book is a great, easier read for children around Kindergarten but will be enjoyed by all who read it. You Are Not Small won the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award in 2015. Christopher Weyant does a fantastic job with the illustrations and Anna Kang is a great children’s writer. Kang does an impeccable job at throwing a twist at the end of the book with one of the characters changing from the “You are Small, You are Big” argument by saying “You are hairy”, which had me laughing out loud in the middle of the library. This cute children’s book is one of the most original books that I have read in a long while.
