it was amazing

Aimee has been living in a cave in the mountains outside of Wolfe Creek, since she was bitten two years ago. Her best friend comes to see her when she can. Apart from a very few people , the world believes she is dead. She can't go back to her life now that she turns furry.
Jake is the town doctor. He and his young son Daniel are still coming to terms with his wife's terrible death a year ago. He is called to take care of a very sick young woman, and immediately recognises her. Why is she in hiding? How can she possibly survive up on the mountain in the frigid winter?
This is a nice twist to the normal Shifter and human books. To have the woman as the wolf and the man the innocent human. Quite emotional at times, with the nightmares our hero and his young son suffer. Our heroine is trying hard to find whatever it is that is stalking through the woods, and keep Jake and Daniel safe.
