I got this book thru Goodreads First Reads offers. It is the third book in a series and the first book I've read by this author. I enjoyed it. It's a small town romance story and has some different story points which is always enjoyable. Casey is 34 and has recently moved to small town White Pine Minnesota and is trying to change her life to have more fun and not being so controlling. She takes her next steps in her plan after meeting Firefighter Abe. But she wants a fling, not to get involved in a relationship. Abe seems the perfect guy for that since he only has short term relationships. It was fun, but also poignant to follow their relationship.

Pet Peeve: the guy on the cover doesn't meet the description of Abe at all! Abe is described as 6'4" (almost a foot taller than Casey), very muscled (he is a firefighter) and blond and almost 40 years old. The couple on the cover look much younger, possibly YA - that would likely make me bypass this book, but I'm glad I didn't.
