An Obelus Wheeze (The 9 Lives of The Outlaw known as Crazy Cat, #2)

I received this in a giveaway and, after reading that it wasn't a stand-alone read, I first obtained and read the first of the series.
I enjoyed reading both books but, unfortunately, they are installments in a larger series yet to be written. Left wanting more with a cliff-hanger ending gives me mixed feelings as to whether I would consider reading the next in the series knowing that it too would leave me mid story.
To say I liked the lead character would be an understatement. The balance between her tough will to survive and her loyalty and gentleness to those closest to her is a joy to read and I found myself smiling, even laughing out loud, on many an occasion.
The language can be offensive to some, but it is not out of place and I certainly wouldn't judge the quality of the writing solely upon it.
Bright, realistic and hugely entertaining. Twisting and turning quite unpredictably at almost every presented opportunity. Tough and uncompromising. Three phrases that equally describe the book AND the lead character.
I'd certainly recommend it (subject to my earlier comments) but I for one will be watching out for further instalments as they become available.
