2.5 stars

Me Before You was one of the "big books" several years ago. Despite the depressing subject manner, I did enjoy the book. I have since read a couple of other book my Moyes and was mildly exciting when I learned that she was doing a sequel. Unfortunately, I found this book to be a bit disappointing.

One of my main problems with the book was that Louisa didn't really seem like the same character. Obviously, the events of Me Before You would have had a profound impact on her, but some of the changes in Louisa's life seemed completely odd ---things like, she no longer wore quirky clothes, and she was estranged from her family. I did enjoy some of the secondary characters in the support group, and seeing the changes in the Traynors (which seemed more realistic than Louisa's changes). I thought that Sam was a bit too good to be true and I really hated the ending. All that being said, Moyes style is very readable and I will continue to pick up her books.
