really liked it
bookshelves: library-books

Fantastically interesting, but vastly better after having read the Epilogue and learning that much of the information about the characters is, in fact, true.

Before I returned it to the library this evening, I tried to decide if it would be damaging to read the Epilogue first. Although the Epilogue does give some of the story details away, I am certain I would have enjoyed the book much more if I had known the extent of the historical accuracy and some of the context before I read the story.

I certainly wish I had seen the 1999 exhibit of the Gachet paintings at the Met!
