Grade B

Home for a Soldier is a very entertaining book. I enjoyed both main characters and thought the first part of the book with Rory and his friends was humorous. The author tries to built some tension and angst, but it wasn't time in the book to develop real emotion. The bare bones of a really good story is there, but it's limited due to the short length of the book. It's listed at just over 200 pages on Amazon, but it seems shorter than that.

I'd definitely be interested in more by this author. She writes good love scenes and characters, and the story had lots of potential. This book didn't quite meet that potential, but is still a worthwhile read.
