Appears to be an interesting description of a piece of physics history that I've read many times before.
Randomly opening the book, I immediately found a glaring mistake...
Op page 331 (Norton hardcover edition), it says:
"In 1964 the two radio astronomers Arno Penzias and Robert Woodrow detected the echo of the big bang".
The latter Nobel laureate is, of course, Robert Woodrow Wilson, not Robert Woodrow. He recently (Jan 10) turned 75 - Happy birthday Bob!
