Loved this book! Best sci-fi I have read for quite some time.
Really liked the first part of the trilogy, The Three-Body
Problem, but this second part is even better. This is all
about humanity having to deal with the Trisolaran fleet, on its way to
destroy Earth and scheduled to arrive in four centuries or so. To make
matters worse, the Trisolarans have effectively blocked all
fundamental science, leaving humanity with only better applications of
existing knowledge. And the only place hidden from their view is the
human mind...
As in the first book, there's a fantastic mix of science, sociology,
strategy and even an interesting take on Fermi's Paradox, taking it
way beyond your typical SF tech/space-opera type of book... so much
food for thought.
My Chinese is a bit rusty, so I'll patiently have to wait until 2016
for the translation of part 3...
