it was amazing
bookshelves: non-fiction, history

Excellent history. Halberstam writes in a journalistic style (surprise he's a journalist). Much of the story that he tells is from interviews that he conducted himself with Korean War veterans. He doesn't try to tell the entire story, he focuses on specific people and events. I was interested in hearing more about the Chosin Reservoir battle, but I guess he felt that it had been covered sufficiently in other works.
