really liked it

The main character, Rebecca Bloomwood, was an enjoyable, yet an annoying person. It irritated me when she bought things she really didn't need (even if the main point of the book is of a shopaholic), and how she handled the problem.

I didn't really like the fact that she used Tarquin, how she wanted to marry him only to pay off his debts and then to build her debt again. But I had some sympathy with her at times. I didn't like how she took advantage with her lies, like telling her parents that Derek Smeath was stalking her, instead of telling the truth of her very large overdraft. It was disappointing that she let down a lot of close friends, but I had sympathy for her.

Obviously, I don't understand her excessive shopping. But overall, I loved the book. It was hilarious how she did try to fix the problem, only to make it worse.
