really liked it

Until about three quarters of the way through, I loved this book. I felt it was written extremely well in first person and had shades of a Margaret Attwood's Edible Woman style; that similar, introspective draw which keeps the reader turning the pages. The characters were well developed and although I struggled with the horrific description of some quite awful events, I persevered because I felt an allegiance with Margo.

I became confused over Margo's relationship with Judah but pressed on, looking for the matter to be resolved. It wasn't. I finished the book no nearer to knowing the answer and that created frustration. The storyline seemed to jump without explanation. One minute, Margo's deleting his emails with a giggle and the next minute he's visiting. I spent the last 20% waiting for the punchline and it didn't come. I loved the writing style, though wish there was more resolution. Too many unanswered questions.
