really liked it
bookshelves: mystery

Why read: Reading all of the Agatha Christie mysteries

What impressed me: I loved the concept of this mystery. The second death, bizarrely similar to the first, taking place a year later at a dinner to remember the first victim. How nothing makes sense, yet comes together beautifully. Sparkling Cyanide keeps you thinking the whole way through.

What disappointed me: As with most of Christie's mysteries, the characters are difficult to care about. It makes it easy to see them all as suspects, but makes it difficult to sympathize when they become a victim.

Recommended: Yes. Not Christie's best known mystery, but definitely one that deserves more attention.
