Great book!
I was positivly surprised because it was so well wrtitten and lovelly.
One could practicaly feel the atmosphere of the NY city in the early 20th. The timeperiod of the great depression and right after the 1. World War, does not sound promissing but the author describes the potential in a big city, like new kinds of music and inventions.
The characters have they flows, they are not the perfect, superficious dolls, created for romance and sex alone, like in some other books. Sutton and Jack are really well developed with their strengh and faults. This book had a great story about friendship, that is a big part(so everyone looking for fast romance should look elsewhere)and love, which develops slowly, in good and in bad times, in health and in illness, Jack and Sutton find their way in life and a lasting partnership.
