it was amazing

Holy, Freaking, God; there are no words that can truly express what I felt while reading, Reign of the Wolf, but as this is a written review I will do my very best and start with.... Perfect, epic finale to this fantastic series.

Looking back at my review for Rise of the Wolf; yes, I have to remind myself of what I have written for the previous books in this series because I don’t want it to seem like I’m doing an ole copy and paste job, but when you read a fantastic story/series that you become so involved with, and more to the point, when an author is as amazing as Dianna Hardy is at telling stories.... you find you do repeat yourself. But how else can you say “talented and amazing,” but say.... this book, this final instalment in The Eye of the Storm Series was an amazing and mind-blowing end to this journey and I didn’t doubt for one second that it would be, because Dianna Hardy is such a talented author with such a wonderful imagination and way with words.

At the end of Rise of the Wolf you knew the storm was about to hit and when I finished that book I had that nervous anticipation of, “oh crap, what’s Lawrence going to do?” And I carried that with me through this book; that on the edge of your seat, please god let everything be okay, feeling.

I couldn’t read this book quick enough and my god, it was hot and sexy, and then tender and heartfelt, and then, sad and nerve-wracking... jaw dropping; the discoveries in this book.... the events which take place... threads that have been present since book one weave together and we get to see the bigger picture, and I for one did not freaking see any of it coming, but it makes so much sense.

But be warned, it hurts; there are situations and events in this book that rip your heart out, but they are necessary for everything that follows.

All the characters have come so far; especially Lawrence and Lydia and it is so lovely and all the more heartfelt and raw because of what is waiting round the corner.

I had a total crushage on Pete in the last book and was totally amused by Beth’s reaction to him. All I will say is <3 <3 <3

There was closure and freedom; submission, pain, grief, humour, love, tragedy, magic, action, passion, hope and heartache. What else could anyone ask for in the final book of any series? At the end of any book all we want is to feel something for the story we have just read; to be moved or bowled over. I feel that with all Dianna’s stories and Reign of the Wolf was no different. I was speechless, but completely and utterly satisfied with the way this series has ended.

The build up of the entire story arc has been fabulous, and the pace and build up of this final instalment... sheer perfection; an ongoing anticipation that has you rocking backward and forward as you try to devour page after page.

You will shed a tear, I can promise you that; and you will most certainly fall in love all over again with these characters and feel warm and fuzzy about how far they have come. You will be so involved with this final instalment that you will be hurting and yet genuinely hoping for them because they have been through so much and yet, things are about to get so much f**king worse.

I for one cannot believe the series is finished; i felt very nostalgic reading this final book and looking up at what I have written for this review.... I don’t feel my words are doing this book justice.

I LOVED this book.

The talented Dianna Hardy has penned a fantastic Urban Fantasy Series; a truly unique twist on Werewolves and the beliefs and mythology behind them. It has been such a joy to explore this world, which feels so real to me that I would expect to find these dynamic and wonderful characters in Surrey. I have loved every minute of this intense and thrilling journey.

Reign of the Wolf is a truly heart-pound, heart-breaking, mind-blowing and fulfilling finale to an amazing series. Thank you Dianna <3
