it was ok

I only read about half of this book but I’m done. Neuroplasticity is a super interesting topic, and the earlier chapters were decent introductions, but the book is extremely ableist and suffused with retrograde notions about gender, sexuality, and the mechanics of socialization. I’m sure I can learn about neuroplasticity (esp as it applies to mental health treatment, which was the main reason I picked up this book in the first place) without wading through the swamp of toxic assumptions on display here.
