really liked it

Of this trilogy, I think I may have ended up enjoying this book the most. Quite surprising and unexpected considering the introduction of a character whose death I wished for repeatedly.

I will say that the plot of this book was the strongest out of all three books. It was the one I found most interesting and had me wanting to just keep reading because I needed to know how things were going to end. There was more of a mystery element to this book and some quite shocking plot twists that tied in very well with the first two books.

What I didn't like was the god damn bloody effing love triangle. Reed was one of the most obnoxious and egotistical characters I've had the displeasure of encountering. (view spoiler)

Overall a great mermaid series but it could have been done better. Not every story needs a love triangle.
