bookshelves: suspense

Kerensa Mawgan’s perfect life in Cornwall is shattered by the devastating revelation her mother murdered her father.

The discovery sends the young reporter on a journey to Florida to unravel the mystery recounted in her mother’s journal. Kerensa is determined to trust no one, but a chance encounter with Ned Rochester, a police officer who is eager to help, changes her mind, though she’s reluctant to tell him the whole story. Ned’s efforts in her behalf stir up a hornet’s nest which brings trouble and danger for both of them.

Her sheltered life and naïveté make Kerensa prone to trust the wrong people but, thanks to her spunk and Ned’s perseverance, love triumphs.

There’s enough suspense and romance to please readers of either genre, and Blake’s engaging characters and intriguing plot are sure to send you in search of her other titles
