it was amazing

The first of the Myron Bolitar series by Harlan Coben. A very engaging character, whose character and life story develops over the series. He's an American sports agent who always seems to get pulled in to solve crimes and mysteries that lead him and his cronies into regularly life threatening situations. Luckily, his rather trusting nature is helpfully counterbalanced by friend and colleague Win, the preppy sociopath, who is an adept at martial arts. Win believes that an over tender conscience can get in the way of the good guys winning; and he believes that the ends justify some pretty scary actions on his part. With the help of Win and Esperanza, ex women's wrestling star now business partner, Myron gets involved in a series of events that I've always found totally engaging. Coben also draws a cast of minor, supporting characters who give the novels added depth and help the series develop convincingly.
