I know a lot of people are complaining about the number of novellas, but I personally like the chances to see the story from other character's perspectives. While the books themselves could have contained this info using multiple POVs, that easily could have gotten messy and confusing. Instead, each novella ties up nicely, telling the backstory and motives of several of the major characters in Oz's own "game of thrones".

Edit 11/14/15: Look at that gorgeous cover!

Erica Totally agree witn you!

PeggySue I totally agree with you. I waited to read them, I m glad I did, I m getting all of the backstories. and she is telling the point of views nicely. she is not just retelling the first prequel from a different character. She gives each character a story of their own along with answering questions from the previous novellas and moving the story forward at the same time.

Toni Mogollon I just recently got wind of this series and decided to read the novellas first. I'm finding them quite interesting, and enjoy knowing that when I start the main storyline, I'll know more about how they got to where they are when Amy gets there.
