it was amazing
bookshelves: adult-mystery

Another triumph. We find Holmes and Mary on a mission to help the friends they had made in the book O Jerusalem - Mahmoud and Ali, now back on British soil and reverting to their given names, Marsh and Alistair. Mary and Holmes must untangle a twisted, long-plotted bid for the dukedom of the time-honored and noble Justice Hall. A trip to Paris, investigation of the mysterious execution during WWI, a Canadian twist make this another fantastic, British country-house mystery. Again, exquisite detail. I feel as if I know Justice Hall, and would love to live there. This is also an especially touching story. Highly recommended.
