it was ok

Way too much inside baseball for my liking. Oscillates in tone between hero worship and sour grapes.

It was great to get more background on how OODA etc evolved, and also the comparisons of the A-10 vs F-15 makes a good companion to reading F.I.R.E, but beyond that it was mostly whining about how shit the pentagon is.

I don't regret reading it, was a line-ball on a two or a three. Thankfully it's pretty quick to get through, if it was a longer slog it'd be annoying, instead it's some interesting colour but not much more.

Xavier Shay I just read it, and fully agree with your review+summary :)

Xavier Shay .. what's the F.I.R.E book you reference? The one linked doesn't look relevant and some cursory googling didn't get me anywhere.
