Savages is an intelligent, well-written, often-funny look at two pot dealers who run up against a drug cartel. It's also not really my type of book. I picked it up as I was in between series books, needed something quick, and saw this on a few "best of the year" lists. Two things that really bothered me are the near-pornographic sex scenes and the author's need for short chapters. Almost 290 to be exact. Pretentious and annoying.
