If this guy were famous, I'd probably give the bk a 2 or 3 star rating just to say: Oh, he's not THAT good. But since he seems to still be somewhat obscure, I can enjoy the simple staging & good humor of his photography w/o having to battle the LCD lack-of-mind-set w/ my vicious critical nature. 2 of the photos that I particularly like are "Two views of a major spill". They show a freeze of a bucket spilling off a chair. His work reminds me of the work of my friend Paula Gillen. I wonder if they know each other? Paula's work always has a wry sense of humor - managing to be understated & over-the-top at the same time. Another thing I like about this bk is just that it's put out by the artist himself & it's like a personal document that says: Here I am, this is what I enjoy, this is what I think is funny. It's completely unpretentious.
