I found the storyline in Pretty Little Things to be topical, ripped from the headlines heady stuff that parents of any teenage kids must dread could happen to their own child with every waking breath. Pretty Little Things was very enlightening about the dangers of the internet and the real and present danger in today’s society and the lengths sexual deviants will go to under the mask of anonymity. It showcases how anyone can fall victim to their schemes and machinations, but especially vulnerable, impressionable teens.

When a local 13 year old girl goes missing, it’s a race against time for Detective Bobby Dees as he tries to unravel the case with the help of several major agencies and locate a sick internet predator and save a young girl before it’s too late… a scene all too familiar and very personal for Detective Dees.

Besides the current feel to this mystery, the decaying relationship between Bobby and his wife and the story of their own missing teenage daughter just adds to the suspense and mystery. This was a gripping, page turning read and if for no other reason, Pretty Little Things may open your eyes to a thing or two you need to know about cyberspace, especially if you have children participating in any of the social networking sites.
