it was amazing

Incredible natural history of the arctic region, including detailed observations of polar bears and other arctic wildlife, character of the land, ice shifts, and arctic people, as well as the effects of over-hunting, huge mining operations and the associated arctic-wide activity (oil, diamonds, gold, and more) on the fragile arctic ecosystem and living creatures. Incredible prose throughout.
