Passage by Connie Willis

Willis needed an editor for this one, but I still spent the last half of the book with my heart in my throat. I cared so much about (almost) all of them, their irritating pantry-like doctor's coats and and inability to end conversations aside; one of the few books I actually didn't want to end, so that I went back and read through emotionally significant sections, just to prolong things.
