it was ok

I read this book for 3 reasons: It was available in the "teacher's lounge library," it takes place in a mythical small town close to State College, and finally, it dealt with quilt making, and this time of year always has me knitting and sewing and feeling crafty. It was o.k. - not great, but decent enough. A sisterhood of problems solved through group support kind of thing. I was disappointed in the inaccuracies with time and distance, but enjoyed the references to common downtown State College spots. The making of the quilt (which is central to the plot) was described quite well, but definitely needed some illustrations to give the full impact. I meant to hit 2 or 3 - but accideentally rated it at 1. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to read it.
