it was ok

I have read the first and fourth books in this series and really liked them. Guns Will Keep Us Together was a disappointment. It did make me laugh occasionally, but I felt the majority of the jokes fell flat. If you know the premise of these books (a 4,000 year old family of assassins) my next statement is very ironic but nevertheless true. The plot was contrived and unbelievable. I can suspend belief like any other good reader, but not for this particular book. Instead of the zany flow of events in the first and fourth book (I have yet to read the third), the plot of this sequel is like an asthmatic runner. It moves at a decent pace, but the coughing and wheezing ruins the experience.
