All in all, a quick, nice little action mystery. I was originally pulled to this by a friend's suggestion and warm memories of Spenser for Hire. The novel reminded me very much of early Travis McGee novels. The narrator probably helped with that. In any event, it was worthwhile and I plan to continue, though I don't know if I have 39+ more in me. That would make it the longest series of full-length novels I've read. Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe series was only close to half that long and took over a year.

I at least have to go far enough to see if Hawk appears. :-)
