Many times better than the movie Six Ways to Sunday! I would have given it 4 stars, but the ending confused me a bit. I understand ultimately what happened to Harold, however the flashbacks confused me and I have no idea who the "Old Woman" is.

Silvana Skyes The "Old Woman" is his mother. He has detached from reality because he is having a psychotic breakdown.

Thanks Silvana. It's been awhile since I read the book but perhaps I'll revisit it at some point with your explanation in mind :)
