it was amazing
bookshelves: middle-grade
Read from June 14 to 15, 2013

Sad but lovely look at Caitlin's world. Caitlin has Aspergers and sees the world in black and white. Colors confuse her, empathy alludes her, and her sensory sensitivity overwhelms her. We meet Caitlin just after the shooting death of her middle school brother, Devon. Reading this book after Newtown and the lack of movement towards any gun regulation from our government was especially moving. Still, there are wonderful light moments as well.
