Drew I liked it! My one maybe-unique comment on it is that I thought Levin pulled off the same trick as Nabokov did in Lolita, though maybe not as deftly--the trick of taking an unredeemable monster of a protagonist and forcing you to sympathize with him.

Also, I experienced a child-like glee at the whole mutiny storyline (ie the whole book) because as a little kid I always dreamt of inciting some kind of mutiny in my school.
