President Obama wrote this book as kind of a letter to his daughters of all that is possible for them. He lists different attributes (Did I ever tell you that you're creative, smart, kind, strong, etc.) and for each one, he lists a representative famous person in history. The illustrations (which were done by Loren Long and are fantastic) first show the President's daughters, and then each historical figure as a child joining them, one by one, until at the end, they are all grouped together showing the diversity that makes up our country. I thought it was completely adorable and, (although I try not to throw around this word) inspiring. :)
