This book was dirrrty. Riley Jensen, a half-vampire, half-werewolf, lives in futuristic Australia, and must have intense, frequent sex for one week before the full moon or her lust will turn to bloodlust instead and she could hurt (or kill) someone.

If you accept that premise, the rest of the book won't be so implausible, but the very graphic sex made me read with one eye open. Whoa!

The story background is good. Riley works for a government organization meant to police all the supernatural elements. But she resists authority and likes the freedom that her simple job gives her, even as she snoops at other departments. When her twin brother is kidnapped and milked of his sperm to create more werewolf hybrids, she, with the help of rich and handsome vampire Quinn, is determined to rescue him. Then Riley herself is kidnapped and treated as a vessel for childbearing.

This is the first of a series and the plot was good, but all that sex makes me blush a little. The writing style is not as aggressive as JR Ward or Laurell K Hamilton, but the sex is.
