liked it

more of a 3.5 actually. this one surprised me, the characters were actually quite believable (for a romance novel) and the plot was rather different. Lottie is the woman the female leads usually triumph over; she's sexy, scandalous, quite lacking in morals, but she has a certain, i don't know, depth about her that allows the audience to still like her and want her to be happy. The male lead on the other hand, while he is fighting for the french in stead of the typical british, he's the steryotypical tall, dark, and handsome with secret wounds he can only share with and be healed by this "true love." Gack. I mean, don't get me wrong, i like hot guys who make hot passionate love to the women they love as much as the person but for heaven's sake COULD WE GET A LITTLE ORIGINALITY??? PLEASE???? it's the same goddamned guy every romance novel i read and i'm getting a little annoyed. But over all, pretty damned good, especially for a romance.
