bookshelves: comics-graphic-novels, fantasy, fiction, imagination, ooooh-the-future, overhyped

Laureline and Valerian's home base has been vaporized, leaving them as "space bums" trying to eke out a living doing freelance spying.

Brownbetty How was the translation? I've come across some rather incredibly crap translations of various books in this series.

Kirsti Brownbetty, it's rather labored and clunky.

Brownbetty Clearly the same one I found, then.

Kirsti I'm just tired of people saying about Japanese films and French-Belgian comic books and whatnot, "Here's where George Lucas stole all the ideas for Star Wars!" No, here's where George Lucas adapted a couple of minor ideas that went into Star Wars. Good luck getting a jury to award you any money.
