it was ok
bookshelves: fiction

This was a nice read, but I thought that the characters could have used a bit more depth. There wasn't really much to it, which is unfortunate because the main focus (19th century women forging their own paths, social norms and expectations be damned) lost some of its power due to the weak characters.
