You just know I was suckered into reading this one because of the title; and the hype. I have seen this book everywhere, or possibly noticed it everywhere because of the title. So when it showed up on my library's email notification (new in the stacks), I put it on hold and got it a couple of months later.

First, the title refers to a book that is supposedly maintained at a morgue. That feature is then dropped and forgotten like yesterday's half eaten Happy Meal.

What ensues is something of a giant yawn, that I daydreamed halfway through. Sure there is some gruesome dead-body description toward the end, but getting there is supposed to be half (or perhaps a greater amount) the fun. I think this would have been twice the book it turned out to be if it was done in first person.
