This AU story straddles the line between over the top action and absurd humor. This volume makes the end of the first quarter of the story. Tony Chu remains the man who can take a bite of anything and receive psychic impressions of its history. His partner is screwing their boss to keep their boss of off Tony's back, and Tony's girlfriend is a food critic who's writing makes readers actually feel like they've eaten the food. Eating poultry is a crime, and deadly former FDA agent Mason Savoy returns. To top off the end of this volume we meet more of Tony's family and his daughter.
