This is my second Agatha Christie novel, and it was very good - my first Hercule Poirot. After reading this, I will continue to read more of her books. I found this one interesting and tried to figure out the solution with Poirot. I was sure I had figured it out, too, until the end.

The reason I didn't give the book a full five stars was because the ending just seemed so fantastic to me. True, it was explained in a believable manner in the end, but it was still a pretty far stretch to the imagination. Nevertheless, I enjoyed all of the characters and the author's writing style. Generally I don't like mysteries, but I enjoyed the language of this. The french at times was confusing, but there were some terms and phrases that I was familiar with, so it didn't hinder my understanding too much. Overall, a must read for mystery fans.
