You need to check your facts, Corie. Sterling Chase a.k.a "Harvard" is the hero in Darker After Midnight, and the Breed gave him his nickname because he graduated from Harvard University and it is meant to be somewhat derogatory. He is first introduced in book 2, Kiss of Crimson. If you go here, and click "preview this book", then put "Harvard" into the search portal, you'll find him all over in the book. Or, if you own a copy of Kiss of Crimson, you can of course just flip through and see for yourself that way.

J.R. Ward, writer of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, has named almost all of her male characters eccentrically, e.g. Zsadist, Tohrment, Phury, Wrath, etc. The most normal name she has is John Matthew, but that's only because that character was born into human society.
